American actress, singer and comedienne Mary Lynn Rajskub gained notoriety for her portrayal of the character Chloe o’ Brian on the popular TV series “24”. Born to a family of mixed ancestry, namely Polish, Czech and Irish on June 22, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan. Raised in Trenton, Michigan, she went to school and graduated from Trenton High School then went to major in painting at Detroit’s College for Creative Studies. She later transferred to the San Francisco Art Institute where she finished and graduated as a painter. She also studied music and acting.

For a few years, Mary Lynn Rajskub also did stand-up comedy, performing at clubs and various restaurants. Her first ever TV appearance and TV debut was on 1995. David Cross cast Mary Lynn Rajskub’s as one of the original cast members of "Mr. Show with Bob and David". Cross and Rajskub dated briefly but when they split Mary Lynn decided to leave the show as well. Mary Lynn Rajskub worked on the show for just one season and left the show during its second season.

She then briefly worked at Seattle’s Best Coffee as a coffee brewer. Then in 1999, Mary Lynn Rajskub was cast as Chloe on the TV show “Veronica’s Closet” but only appeared on fifteen episodes. Although at this point she had only been mainly doing TV, Mary Lynn Rajskub was still able to squeeze in small parts in films in which her performances almost always stole the scenes and demanded attention.

In 1999, she had small parts yet remarkable scenes in the films Magnolia and Man on the Moon. Staying true to her comedic roots, balancing the heavy drama films she recently appeared with a no-brainer, college humor flick such as Road Trip in 2002. In 2004, Mary Lynn Rajskub yet again delivered a stellar performance on the film Mysterious Skin.

But of all the bit parts she took on, none could be more important than her role in as one of Adam Sandler’s sisters in the art film, “Punch Drunk Love” in 2002. That small part, subsequently led to a role that was literally made for her and what would eventually be her most recognizable character or role to date.

In 2003, after seeing Mary Lynn Rajskub in “Punch Drunk Love”, Joel Surnow, producer and co-creator of 24 created the character Chloe O’Brian for her and off course offered the role to Mary Lynn. She joined the cast at the start on the third season, playing the part of a CTU Systems Analyst. Mary Lynn Rajskub’s portrayal of Chloe O “Brian was so loved and embraced by viewers and fans of the show that by season five, Mary Lynn Rajskub got the top salary on the show next only to Kiefer Sutherland.

In 2006, Mary Lynn Rajskub was presented the Female Breakthrough Award. It was presented by Harrison Ford. Although nominated twice by the Screen Actors Guild for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, in 2005 and again in 2007, they (the ensemble) have never won.

Besides working on TV and Film, she also plays guitar and is one half on the group “Girls Guitar Club”. They perform live shows in Hollywood. She is married to Matthew Rolph and they have one child. They currently live in Los Angeles. Mary Lynn Rajskub can also be spotted frequenting art shows, auctions and museums. An active member of her local artist community and trained artist as well, she participates at art shows and even holds exhibits displaying her own works of art.
